Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop,
manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets. This
position would focus on the consumer electronics industry.
Tasks
- Lead an interdisciplinary team of development engineers and application engineers
- Understand the customer needs and transform them into successful products
- Drive customer projects from feasibility to mass production
- Contribute to our innovation process to shape Optotune’s future product roadmap
- Introduce new product ideas and processes to the company
- Manage project knowledge and define development processes
- Resource planning, controlling and reporting
- Oversee projects in terms of performance as well as time and costs
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams
- Inspire team members and management partners to strive for alignment, business perspective and high performance
Requirements
- >5 years of experience in product development and leadership
- MSc degree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong leader who can inspire a team and overcome challenges when under time pressure
- Self-motivated, proactive, pragmatic and eager to grow
- Strong planner and executer
- Quick thinker, creative, persistent & empathic
- Strategic thinking and able to manage large international customers
- Proficient in English and German desired, proficient in an Asian language is an advantage
