What does the Solution Manager Smart Buildings for Higher Education do, you ask?
The position will be part of the global Solution and Service Business team managing and supporting our assigned
regions and focus countries in their business success.
As Solution Manager Smart Buildings for Higher Education you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the
building solutions portfolio with a strong digital focus. This includes developing and maintaining the portfolio
according to Siemens' product lifecycle management standards, as well as market and customer feedback.
In this role, you will closely work with our colleagues of the development teams, sales, marketing and service
portfolio. You will develop the business requirements and manage the creation of deliverables; e.g. technical and sales
enablement. Impact is achieved by ensuring high product-market fit of the offering through customer engagement,
co-innovation and close collaboration with our regional and country sales colleagues.
Your new responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the solutions portfolio with a focus on the digital part for the Vertical Market of Higher
Education
- Manage a community of stakeholders in the regions, focus countries and other central functions, to secure the
successful portfolio adaption in the market
- Identify market demand and requirements to secure the market success of the portfolio through customer engagement,
co-innovation and close collaboration with our regional and focus country colleagues
- Act as interface to the development team, secure technical enablement, and operate as product quality gate for all
solution increments
- Contribute to use case development and prioritization
- Define market packages covering the entire portfolio
- Ensure creation and availability of documentation, trainings, marketing material and technical demonstrations
What you bring along
- Master’s degree in industrial or electrical engineering, business economics or similar education
- At least 5 years of experience in product management, preferable within the building technologies industry and a B2B
environment
- Expertise in digitalization (e.g., cloud, APIs/connectivity, web applications development)
- Strong project management skills
- Proactive and positive attitude, team-player with the ability to build trust with internal and external partners
- Experience within a complex and global environment would be an asset
- The position requires excellent English language skills. German or any other European language is an advantage
