    In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Sales organization of the Automation Business unit (part of
    Process Automation Energy Industries PAEN) in Switzerland, ensuring a flexible, consistent, and high-quality proposal
    process. You will prepare proposals, act as Solution Architect, document technical solutions and play a key pivotal
    role within the Sales organization to bid feasible solutions in line with the main stakeholders such as customers,
    project managers and engineers. You report to the Head of Sales.

    Your responsibilities

    - Prepare offers in coordination with the local sales unit and Global Sales Specialists.
    - Propose technical solutions for complex enquiries. Support the Sales organization in determining the most
    technically appropriate and cost-effective solution.
    - Offer technical advice and comments on enquiry specifications. Provide technical support during the meetings,
    presentations, and negotiations.
    - Develop and maintain new sales opportunities, standardize offers, and manage resolution to specific customer
    problems.
    - Implement global standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes. Provide information or participates in the risk
    review process in accordance with ABB policy.
    - Ensure budget (volumes), profitable growth targets, and Customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) are achieved. Perform lost
    proposal analysis, identify potential cause, and recommend future actions.

    Your background

    - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from a university of applied science.
    - Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automation industry, working as Solution Architect, Engineer, or Sales Support
    with profound knowhow in Digital Control Systems DCS and IT systems.
    - Sound knowledge of the Energy Industries market, the Automation applications and ABB’s competitors to pinpoint the
    uniqueness of the ABB portfolio.
    - Knowledge of workplace tools such as SAP and Salesforce.
    - Excellent collaboration skills paired with analytical capabilities.
    - Fluent in English and German.
    - Experience in developing strong customer and internal relationships locally and globally.
