Service Engineer Laser
Workload: 100%
Location: Biel / Geneva
Your tasks
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of laser texturing and cutting machines
- Execution of retrofits, upgrades, and machine conversions
- Identification and implementation of optimization opportunities in close collaboration with Development and 2nd
Level Support
- Professional handling, troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation of service cases
- Support in creating, reviewing, and improving technical documentation and process procedures
- Occasional assistance with trade fair setup and dismantling activities
- Ensuring full compliance with Advanced Manufacturing safety standards, including particle emissions, laser
radiation, contamination control, gas handling, and explosion prevention
- Participation in additional functional responsibilities based on expertise and business requirements ( , internal
training, quality initiatives, or special technical projects — approximately 10% of working time)
Your profile
- Completed technical vocational training, ideally with an additional qualification as a certified technician
- Several years of experience as a Service Technician for laser machines or comparable high-tech industrial equipment
- Strong customer-service orientation combined with an independent and structured work approach
- High willingness to travel (up to 90%) across Europe and Switzerland
- Good MS Office skills and strong IT knowledge in hardware and software environments
- Fluent English skills are mandatory, along with fluent German or French
- High commitment to providing excellent customer support and service quality
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented personality
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Independent, solution-oriented, goal-driven, and organized way of working
