Job Description Summary
The Engineering Capability Leader (AI, Lean & Quality) is accountable for the strategy and implementation of an
advanced Quality Management system, Lean engineering principles, and AI-driven design and workflow tools into our
technical processes. Directly leading a medium sized team and indirectly leading the Heavy-Duty New Unit organization,
you will drive sustainable improvements across all Heavy-Duty New Unit teams by championing cultural and process
initiatives that modernize our design methodology, improve execution velocity, and ensure "right-first-time" quality in
our engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

Engineering Quality System Leadership: Establish and enforce the "Zero Defect Framework" quality standards for design
deliverables. Lead the development of KPIs and TTIs that track design accuracy, re-work rates, and engineering cycle
time.

AI for Engineering Optimization: Lead the adoption of AI and automation tools that improve engineering productivity,
support rule-based quality checks, automate repetitive technical tasks, enhance knowledge reuse, and reduce cycle time
and rework across engineering workflows.

Lean Design Workflows: Apply Lean principles to the engineering lifecycle. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the
design and execution workflows, reducing waste in documentation, review cycles, and inter-departmental handoffs.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive tangible improvements in cultural and process initiatives across all Heavy-Duty New
Unit teams. Serve as the primary advocate for modern, data-driven design and execution workflows.

Team Development & People Leadership: Mentor your team, ensuring they are not only technically proficient but also
growth oriented. Foster an environment where the team feels empowered to challenge legacy design processes.

Navigating Complexity: Lead the Heavy-Duty Plant Engineering team in transitioning from traditional design-heavy
processes to more agile, AI-enhanced execution models, ensuring project milestones remain on track despite the
ambiguity of digital transformation.
Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree n a relevant discipline.

8+ years of proven experience in engineering, lean, quality or similar fields

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage organizational change in a complex environment.

Strong background in Quality Control/Assurance and hands-on experience deploying AI/Data Analytics tools.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $152,400.00 and
$254,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific
pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
