    What you can make happen

    As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering department at the GE Vernova production site in Birr, you will contribute
    to the development, procurement, and optimization of production tools, measuring equipment, and operating resources.
    You will take a lead role in the design and construction of specialized tools and fixtures, ensuring high-quality,
    efficient manufacturing processes for our gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors.

    Job Description

    What you’ll do

    - Manage the design and construction of specialized tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures for gas turbines, steam
    turbines, and generator rotors
    - Ensure the availability and on-time delivery of all required operating resources through internal manufacturing or
    external partners
    - Define and optimize tool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and
    engineering
    - Develop machining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and
    related master data
    - Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews
    - Monitor process performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as
    needed

    What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

    - Completed technical education, ideally a degree from a Swiss Technikerschule (HF) in mechanical, manufacturing, or
    industrial engineering
    - Several years of practical experience in industrial manufacturing, production engineering, or tooling and fixture
    design
    - Proven experience in designing operating resources for turbines or large-scale rotating equipment
    - Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategies
    - Proficiency in SAP and, ideally, TDM or similar production-related systems
    - Good command of German and English, both written and spoken is a must
