    Become part of GE Vernova
Do you want to make a global impact and solve problems?

Through an unbridled spirit of innovation and continuous collaboration with our customers, Gas Power, a business unit
of GE Vernova, is driving a more advanced, cleaner, and more efficient energy supply for humanity—while simultaneously
developing technologies for the energy generation of the future.

You design, develop, and improve the tools and fixtures that keep precision turbine manufacturing running. Based at GE
Vernova's production site in Birr, you will be part of the Betriebsmittelkonstruktion (BMK) team — a specialist group
responsible for the full lifecycle of production tooling, measuring equipment, and manufacturing resources for gas
turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors.

    IMPORTANT – MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Language: Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory requirements for this position.

Work Authorization: Candidates must be eligible to work in Switzerland. For this position, we can consider Swiss,
EU/EFTA nationals, or candidates who already hold a valid Swiss work permit allowing them to take up employment in
Switzerland. We are unable to sponsor work permits.

Please ensure that you meet these requirements before applying.

    Job Description

    What you’ll do

    external partners
    - Define and optimize tool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and
    engineering
    - Develop machining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and
    related master data
    - Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews
    - Monitor process performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as
    needed

(Höhere Fachschule, HF) diploma or equivalent is ideal
    - Proven experience in the design of production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
    - Solid knowledge of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategies
    - Proficiency in SAP and TDM or a comparable tool data management system
    - Fluent German and good English, written and spoken

    - Background in procurement coordination with technical suppliers

    What make you stand out

    - Strong technical understanding and a process-oriented mindset for fixture and tool design
    - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external design offices
    - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
    - Analytical thinking combined with cost-conscious decision-making
