Where Complexity Meets Clarity
This role focuses on innovation in Hilti’s packaging solutions. You will be tasked with investigating, testing, and
qualifying new packaging materials and processes with the aim of making packaging solutions more efficient by reducing
production costs, effort, and carbon footprint. You will also analyze existing solutions including production tooling
regarding their remaining lifetime and required investments for rework or entirely new dies.
Start date as soon as possible.
What You'll do
You will assist in managing packaging projects for new and existing Hilti tools, accessories, batteries, and chargers
produced in Europe. You will support the packaging team in identifying opportunities for optimization, through research
including attending packaging conferences. You will define models for calculating changes in packaging and the effects
they have on production cost, carbon footprint, logistics costs, and value stream simplification.
Strong candidates possess a technical background ideally in packaging materials or processes with a basic
understanding of manufacturing processes, as well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in multicultural
and cross functional teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar preferred)
- Knowledge of and willingness to learn more about the packaging industry as well as global manufacturing and supply
chain.
- Ability to document technical documentation and changes in an organized fashion.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English (German or additional languages are a plus)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Proactive and driven to perform tasks and undertake challenges autonomously
