Role Overview
In this role, you will keep our manufacturing operations running with reliable, secure shopfloor IT and play a key
role in shaping our Smart Factory vision. You’ll bridge plant teams and global IT, resolve issues fast, drive digital
projects, and help standardize technologies across sites—without silos, slow decisions, or limited impact.
What you’ll do
You provide hands‐on IT support for shopfloor systems and local workplaces, handling 1st‐level requests and selected
2nd‐level issues for plant‐specific solutions. You support digital initiatives that move your plant toward Hilti’s
Smart Factory vision and act as the key connector between local operations and global IT & Business teams. You
collaborate with cross‐plant IT supporters, maintain clear documentation, and coordinate with global engineering teams
to ensure consistent standards, secure systems, and compliant operations. You also contribute to local and global IT
projects that shape our future manufacturing environment.
What you’ll bring
- Education: Completed IT degree or technical vocational training + broad user‐support foundation.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a globally oriented IT team + 3–5 years in customer‐facing 1st/2nd‐level support (incl.
ticket handling).
- Infrastructure: Administer/troubleshoot networks, servers, telephony (Cisco CNA level) + manage workplace &
shopfloor hardware (printers, scanners, embedded devices, VC rooms).
- Security & Operations: Proficiency in IT security and basic OT‐security (e.g., segmentation, secure remote access) +
disciplined documentation/compliance and IT asset & order handling.
- Communication & Collaboration: Fluent German and English + ability to explain IT services in clear business language
and coordinate cross‐plant with global IT (project coordination).
What’s in it for you
We really value our people, and we've worked hard to develop a reward package that reflects this, creating your future
to be just how you would want it. Some of our benefits include:
- Connection with a diverse community of over 2,100 colleagues from 70 nationalities in a region where Liechtenstein,
Austria, and Switzerland intersect.
- Employee groups actively supporting causes like female empowerment and the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Leisure activities like mountain biking and tennis.
- Opportunities for community engagement both locally and internationally.
- Shared e-bikes, an on-site gym, dining options, learning opportunities, financial guidance, free parking, fuel
discounts, workation, sabbatical, home office opportunity, flexible and trust-based working hours, meditation/
relaxation rooms, Hilti tool rental service, massage possibilities, and relocation support.
