    For our Applied Materials Group in the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering and Imaging at the Center for Neutron and
    Muon Sciences we are looking for a

    Beamline Scientist (Tenure Track)

    Your tasks

    - Organize and run the user program on the engineering diffractometer POLDI, including industrial applications
    - Maintain and develop the instrument, also with respect to alternative use in imaging
    - Contribute to the strategic development of the group, including new research initiatives and funding acquisition
    - Perform independent research within the scientific scope of the group
    - Mentoring of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers

    Your profile

    - PhD in material science, physics, engineering, or a related field.
    - Strong research background in diffraction and engineering research
    - Excellent teamwork, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills
    - Proficient communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus
    - Experience with user support at large-scale research facilities and/or neutron instrumentation is an advantage
