The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within

For the Materials Science Group, in the Laboratory for Condensed Matter, we are looking for a
Postdoctoral Fellow – innovative ore processing
Your tasks
You will conduct both basic and applied research based on powder diffraction methods, your main tasks are:
- Research on mechanochemical activation of phosphate ores
- Develop and improve existing data pipeline at the ADDAMS beamline, with a focus on combined XRD and XRF workflows,
particularly for industrial applications
- Assist beamline users
- Publish research results and present them at relevant scientific meetings and conferences
Your profile
- PhD degree in Geology, Material Science, or a related field
- Hands on experience with diffraction methods XRD, in particular with powder diffraction, and possibly X-ray
fluorescence XRF
- Experience with synchrotron experiments is an advantage
- Strong computing skills, being able to program in Python
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
