We're looking for a software enthusiast to work in the Electronics Thermal Systems team, working in the exciting field
of Electronics Cooling; simulating the very smallest computer chips, to the largest data centres. Your daily tasks will
be helping the team to implement new, and maintain existing functionality for our flagship product, Simcenter Flotherm.
You'll primarily be a full-stack developer, or have an interest in becoming one, working with a multi-national team
situated across Europe and the UK, with the broader team located worldwide.
Daily tasks
Work with product owners, team members and stakeholders, to define and implement new featuresDebug and fix issues that
arise within any level of the softwareWrite unit tests to prove your ideas, whilst improving test coverageParticipate
in regular meetings, offering and receiving feedback
Required skill-set
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics or other related
disciplineExcellent C++ skillsExcellent grasp of Object Oriented principles and designYou have an active interest in
algorithmic design and numerical methodsYou're extremely flexible and enjoy working at all levels of an applicationYou
can use Visual Studio Code, CMake, and gitClean code, test driven development and automated testing are how you get
things doneYou'll have a growth mindset - continually improving yourself whilst encouraging the team as a wholeAgile
methodologies come naturally to youWorking with both co-located and remote colleagues doesn't present a problem to
youYou're not afraid to make judicious use of refactoring where appropriateYou know what copilot is, use it regularly,
and are always looking for new ways to leverage itDeciding between working on Windows or Linux isn't a problem
Advantageous skill-set
development experience in a commercial context.Experience with Qt UI toolkit, or similarExperience in numerical
methods and modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics or similar.Experience in conjugate heat transfer.Familiarity with
