    Diese Position berichtet an:

    Head of Supply Chain Sustainability

    __

Join ABB's Corporate Sustainability team for an internship where you will combine agentic AI innovation with supply
chain sustainability expertise to drive transformational impact.

First, you'll identify opportunities to automate and accelerate sustainability workflows using agentic AI, then build
practical, user-friendly tools that the team can deploy and maintain independently.

Second, you'll use available data to build models that map ABB's exposure to sustainability risks in metals and
minerals sourcing across our entire value chain, thereby establishing the foundation to meet future regulatory
    requirements.

Third, you'll support the launch of our Sustainable Sourcing Community of Practice, a cross-divisional initiative
advancing responsible procurement practices. Throughout this role, you will upskill the sustainability team in AI
capabilities and supply chain risk management. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to drive innovation,
strengthen risk management, and build collaborative networks across the organization.

    Location: Zurich

    Working model: Hybrid #LI-hybrid

    Main Accountabilities:

In this role, you will work on three interconnected initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

    - Build Agentic AI Solutions for Sustainability Automation: Identify opportunities to automate and enhance
sustainability tasks using agentic AI. Design and develop AI solutions using modern frameworks (e.g., LangChain,
AutoGen, CrewAI) that are intuitive, reliable, and easy for non-technical users to operate. Upskill the sustainability
team through training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations to build their understanding of AI capabilities
help them do their day to day work more efficient.
    - Map Supply Chain Sustainability Risks: Map ABB's exposure to sustainability risks in metals and minerals sourcing
across our value chain. Evaluate multiple sustainability dimensions—including human rights, labor practices, climate
impacts, water usage, and biodiversity—for both upstream suppliers and downstream customers.
    - Develop frameworks, data models, and visualizations that elevate our organizational knowledge of risks. Create
foundational systems and processes that position ABB to meet emerging regulatory requirements. This will require
gathering sustainability risk information from colleagues across ABB divisions, combining this with trade data and
synthesize the findings into a coherent, organization-wide risk picture.
    - Support Sustainable Sourcing Community of Practice Launch: Support the establishment and launch readiness of a
cross-divisional community dedicated to advancing responsible sourcing practices. Tasks includes preparing
communication material, identifying and engaging key stakeholders and set up the right structures to make this
    initiative successful.

    Challenges:

The Corporate Sustainability team has seven members. Your key challenge is to quickly understand our workflows,
identify automation opportunities, and ensure prioritized AI solutions are fully implemented by the internship's end
while at the same time driving progress in the risk mapping and support the launch of the Community of Practice. Strong
project management and prioritization skills are essential, particularly since you'll be working during the vacation
period when team availability for consultation may be limited

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

    - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,
Engineering, or related technical field. A Bachelor in Business and Administration and Economics is also an option if
combined with relevant experience in the building AI models.
    - It could also serve as a corporate project / internship for MBA students or recent graduates.
    - Experience building agentic AI tools (e.g., with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks)
    - Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
    - Background or interest in sustainability, supply chain management, or environmental topics is a plus
    - Self-starter with strong project management and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and drive
    projects forward
    - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts to diverse
    audiences
    - Fluent in written and spoken English
    - Ability to work cross-functionally and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at different levels
    - Flexibility with changing priorities, and collaborative 'can-do' attitude

Die Zukunft wird sauberer und intelligenter durch vielfältige Talente – neugierige, mutige und kreative. Wir schätzen
Menschen mit unterschiedlichem persönlichem Hintergrund und Erfahrungen.
