site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for
locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our
corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll
report to Stefan SCHNIDER – Site Train Electrical Métier Manager in Zürich - CH, and work alongside passionate,
motivated and dedicated international teammates.
You'll specifically take care of electrical architecture at train level, wiring list and apparatus specification in
new developments and legacy products. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Train
System/Control/Design, Industrialization, Supplier). You'll be responsible to define cables, connectors, harnesses,
schematic for complete vehicles in Developments and Retrofits, support industrialization and respond to supplier
request.
We’ll look for you to :
- Defining high and low voltage cable and over-current protective device sizing/distribution requiring general
knowledge of both power and communication network signals.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of electrical drawings and bills of material, component selection, creation
of test procedures, requirements management, and manufacturing and procurement support.
- Selection of detail design distribution equipment such as various connectors and associated piece parts while
relying on a general system-level understanding of the entire vehicle electrical system.
- To work with cross-functional groups and various disciplines to ensure products are properly implemented into the
vehicle.
- In addition to design activities, this position will develop management skills requirements to ensure all customer
and internal expectations are met while providing a reliable and safe vehicle.
- To provide support for procurement and manufacturing, collaborate and support on Design Reviews and First Article
inspections.
- Other responsibilities include support of power system studies such as protective device coordination, fault current
analyses, load flow analyses, and incident energy calculations.
