As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering department at the GE Vernova production site in Birr, you will
responsible for the design, development, procurement, and continuous improvement of production tooling, measuring
equipment, and manufacturing resources.In this role, you will be part of the Betriebsmittelkonstruktion (BMK) team,
responsible for the design, development and procurement of production tooling, fixtures and measuring equipment.
IMPORTANT – MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Language: Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory requirements for this
position. Candidates who do not meet these language requirements will not be considered.
Work Authorization: Candidates must be eligible to work in Switzerland. For this position, we can consider Swiss,
EU/EFTA nationals, or candidates who already hold a valid Swiss work permit allowing them to take up employment in
Switzerland. We are unable to sponsor work permits for this position.

Job Description
What you’ll do
- Manage the design and construction of specialized tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures for gas turbines, steam
turbines, and generator rotors
- Ensure the availability and on-time delivery of all required operating resources through internal manufacturing or
external partners
- Define and optimize tool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and
engineering
- Develop machining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM (Tool Data Management) tool lists and
related master data
- Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews
- Monitor process performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as
needed
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Completed technical education, ideally with a qualification from a Swiss Higher Technical School (Höhere Fachschule,
HF) or an equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Understanding in industrial manufacturing, production engineering, or tooling and fixture design
- Proven experience in the design of production tooling, fixtures and manufacturing equipment for turbines or other
large rotating equipment.
- First knowledge of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategies
- Proficiency in SAP and, ideally, TDM or similar production-related systems
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are required
