    Scientist - Nuclear Fuel Behavior Analysis and Development

    For the Reactor Physics and Thermal-Hydraulics Laboratory we are looking for a
    Scientist - Nuclear Fuel Behavior Analysis and Development
    Your tasks
    Development of nuclear fuel performance codes, including both established methodologies and high-fidelity approaches
    Modelling and simulation of standard and advanced fuel concepts, covering operational, transient, accident, and
    storage scenarios
    Verification and validation of models, methods, and computational tools using international benchmark data and post
    irradiation examinations, and experimental measurements
    Technical support to the regulator through independent assessments and expert review of fuel related safety questions
    Participation in international activities, preparation of research proposals, publication of scientific articles and
    supervision of students
    Your profile
    PhD degree in nuclear engineering (or related discipline)
    Strong background and interest in nuclear fuel behaviour, fuel performance modelling, and materials under irradiation
    Solid experience with fuel performance codes (e.g., FRAPCON/FRAPTRAN, TRANSURANUS, FALCON, BISON, OFFBEAT etc.)
    Experience with validation, benchmarking, and interpretation of fuel related experimental results
    High proficiency in programming and scripting capabilities
    Good knowledge of numerical methods for scientific computing
    Familiarity with regulator-oriented analysis workflows is a plus
