What are the Siemens Encryption Technology (PKI) services? The Siemens Encryption Technologies platform is the basis
for secure communication and protection of sensitive information. It is the core for trustworthy and liable
transactions via private and public networks, between humans and machines. The services are globally available to
    guarantee:

    - the secure authentication of persons, systems and products
    - the encryption of confidential information
    - the digital signature of documents, business transactions and source code

The service is hosted in a self-managed on prem high-security data center complemented by cloud services like AWS for
less critical workloads. The PKI Service team is end-to-end responsible for the entire range of services from
infrastructure and operating systems up to the application level. We manage everything from the bare metal of the
servers, the VMWare environment, Container Runtimes and Clusters, Configuration and development of applications up to
the HSMs and the Certification Authority (CA)/Registration Authority (RA) software environments. Additionally, we
consult internal customers on the implementation of cryptographic technology in their products and services. Our
international team is located across Germany, Spain, France and Portugal.

This is your role: DevOps Engineer for PKI Services

In today’s fast-paced digital world, the security and integrity of data have never been more critical. As part of
Siemens’ PKI team, you are in the front line fully committed to provide robust and secure services to our customer with
    a high degree of automation.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure secure automated deployments in AWS, Openshift, Podman or VMWare. You
design secure deployment strategies for applications covering the entire lifecycle - from development to deployment,
both on premise and in the cloud. By shifting left security and functional tests you support our goal to speed up the
release cycles without compromising on quality and security. With your enthusiasm for DevOps you inspire and tutor the
team on the journey of automated service operation.

Your understanding of the concepts of a Public Key infrastructure helps you to adopt the specific requirements of the
PKI services to a modern DevSecOps approach. Continuous growth and end-user centricity is core part of your mission,
and every decision you take is underscored by these two pillars of success. Your daily interactions won't be limited to
our in-house teams. Engaging with both internal stakeholders and service providers and external Vendors, you'll
represent our dedication to excellence and our mission to safeguard digital communications.

In essence, your role is not just about managing a service; it's about pioneering a safer, more reliable digital
    future for the entire company.

    Your qualifications and experience:

    - Educational background: A university degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related technical field.
    - DevSecOps expertise: A minimum of 5 Years of hands-on experience in a DevSecOps role, with a proven track record of
implementing and optimizing gitlab CI/CD pipelines to expedite and automate the software development and deployment
    process in secure environments.
    - Tools & Technologies: Profound knowledge of and experience with a range of DevOps tools such as git, gitlab,
Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, and Ansible.
    - Cloud platforms: Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, with the ability to design, deploy, and
manage scalable applications in such environments.
    - Scripting skills: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python, enabling automation and configuration
    tasks.
    - Collaboration: History of working closely with software development teams, QA, and other IT stakeholders to ensure a
seamless and efficient end-to-end software delivery process.
    - Security focus: Solid grasp of IT security best practices, with experience in implementing security measures in the
    development and deployment processes.
    - Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills with a knack for troubleshooting and addressing issues in complex systems.
    - Continuous growth and learning: Commitment to stay up to date with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.
    - Be a team player.
    - Strong communication skills in English.

We’ve got quite a lot to offer. How about you?

Please send your CV in English, otherwise your application will not be considered.
This opportunity provides flexibility in location meaning that we are accepting candidates from all over the world.
Your preferred location will be asked during your application.
Siemens is committed to creating a diverse environment and is glad to be an equal opportunity employer. We strongly
