At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our
~17.000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology
as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global
industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look
beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world
at large.
We are looking for a Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) to effectively complement our team at Endress+Hauser Flow and meet the
challenges of a growing and globalizing purchasing organization. As part of the ‘Sourcing Indirect’ team, you will help
shape procurement processes and the development of the supplier portfolio in an international network.
What is the role about?
Are you an assertive person who questions the status quo and enjoys managing procurement projects with a global
character? Do you enjoy optimizing and strategically expanding supplier portfolios? Are you ready to apply your
analytical and communication skills to increase the competitiveness of a global leader?
If you answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, you can look forward to an exciting and varied role with plenty of creative
freedom!
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
- develop and implement procurement strategies for capital goods (machinery and production equipment as well as
machine components) and operating supplies, with a focus on cost optimization and risk management.
- coordinate the project procurement of strategic investments for global production sites (e.g. in China, the USA,
Brazil, India, France and Switzerland) from the definition of requirements to handover.
- conduct negotiations and draw up contracts (framework, maintenance and service contracts) to secure the supply chain.
- manage and develop supplier portfolios and evaluate criteria according to performance, reliability and quality.
- establish internal networks and maintain close cooperation with internal teams, as well as organize regular
coordination with stakeholders.
What we expect from you?
You:
- have a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or a comparable field of study, supplemented by
further training in purchasing.
- have extensive experience in purchasing (5-7 years), especially in capital goods and operating materials, as well as
project management, preferably in an international environment and RFI/RFP procedures for the procurement of capital
equipment (CapEx).
- impress with your analytical skills and your ability to manage several procurement projects in the industrial
environment at the same time.
- You have good communication skills and are business fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is an asset.
- You work independently, are proactive and maintain an overview even under time pressure.
What can you expect from us?
- A modern and innovative working environment with future-oriented projects.
- Flexible working hours and a healthy work-life balance.
- A wide range of training and development opportunities that promote lifelong learning.
- A family-friendly company with an appreciative corporate culture.
- Exciting tasks with global reach and plenty of creative freedom.
