    Job Description

    The global Plant Performance team is responsible for modeling and optimizing as combined cycle plants. Their mission
    is to select and model a plant configuration that aligns with customer requirements while ensuring that GE Vernova
    remains competitive by balancing and optimizing plant performance. A key tool and deliverable for the team are the
    plant heat and mass balance diagrams. The team is also engaged in de-carbonization initiatives, including
    post-combustion carbon capture solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    This 6 month internship is centered around enhancing the thermal performance modeling and of combined cycle power
    plants using GE Vernova's advanced internal models and tools. The focus will be on improving the creation of heat and
    mass balance diagrams and calculation tools. The internship aims to refine the modeling aspects by enhancing accuracy,
    user-friendliness, speed, and convergence in Ebsilon models, along with Excel-based tools utilizing in-built technical
    code and programmed interfaces . The internship will also allow an insight in execution process and focus on
    contribution to develop and maintain automation tools for operation purpose.

    This initiative will significantly contribute to the business objective of increasing efficiency and reducing risk
    through improved accuracy. For the intern, this presents a valuable opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge about
    combined cycle power plants, water-steam cycle equipment, process design, and thermal process modeling.

    Additionally, this will provide valuable insights into GE Vernova's combined cycles power plant technology and
    offerings.

    Qualifications:

    - Graduating Bachelor or Master student in Mechanical Engineering Faculties, Energy Science, Process engineering or
    equivalent

    - Interest and/or experience in thermodynamics, process engineering and technical tool development

    - Technical knowledge of combined cycle power plants products is considered as a plus.

    - Programming experience (f.i. Python or other programming languages)

    - High level of motivation, communication skills and autonomy

    - Fluent in English (oral and written).
