Your tasks
The main purpose of the Business Controller is to act as a global, cross-technology business partner to the Industry
Segment leadership team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting both operational and strategic
decision-making by delivering accurate analyses and recommending actions to improve performance. Acting as a proactive
sparring partner and fully embedded in the business team, you will drive initiatives that contribute to the growth and
long-term success of the Segment Industry (CHF 300+ million in net sale).
- Analyses operational results on deviations from budget/previous year and?monitors?financial performance of the
Segment. Anticipates and addresses corrective actions, tracks implementation plans and measures improvements
- Establishes periodical reports and prepares business and budget review meetings for the Segment
- Drives financial business planning, budgeting and forecast process in the Segment?
- Provides business analysis,?cost calculations, inventory turn and other?ad hoc analysis
- Prepares investment decisions, manages the?Capex?approval process and executes according to?the Delegation of
Authority (DoA)
- Collaborates closely with the Segment, Corporate Controlling and Company Controlling
- Runs production controlling activities for the Radio-Frequency Technology?for?the production site?Herisau?incl. the
definition of cost standard accounting
- Supports?the?business units,?the market- and sales teams in financial decision making
- Interacts actively with the global site controller community
- Serves as a member of the?Industry Segment management team, technology & operations management team and collaborates
closely with Segment COO and Group CFO
Your profile
- Higher education (Master, University) in?Business or Finance Management
- >?8?years?of proven?Controlling experience in an international manufacturing industrial group with a high-mix,
low-volume environment as an advantage
- Prior?leadership experience?is a plus
- High?IT?and in-depth IT knowledge, mainly?SAP S/4?(FI, CO, MM, PP),?Power BI, Office?applications
- Professional?proficiency?in English and very beneficial in German
- Demonstrate an active drive of further developing today's finance processes & tools in close cooperation with the
business
- Intercultural competence, positive mindset?and hands-on?attitude
- Strong and problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication across all organizational levels
- to navigate complex, multi-technology and multi-country organization and challenge stakeholders constructively
- Willingness to actively shape business development together with the Segment management team (strong Business
partner)
