Product Owner Smart Factory

Your tasks
As Product Owner Smart Factory, you will bridge manufacturing expertise with digital innovation. Your mission is to
ensure that smart factory solutions deliver tangible improvements in efficiency, quality, and flexibility on the shop
floor. You will work closely with production teams to understand processes, identify pain points, and translate them
into practical digital solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
- Support in developing a clear product vision for smart factory solutions (e.g. automation, IoT, digital twins)
- Alignment with company goals and stakeholders from production, IT and operations management
- Creation, prioritization and maintenance of the product backlog
- Prioritization of requirements according to business value, feasibility and urgency
- Formulation of business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Obtaining feedback, moderating requirements and communicating progress
- Gathering and evaluating requirements from various departments
- Acting as an interface between technical teams and production experts, ensuring solutions are practical and scalable
- Active participation in all ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint review, daily standups)
Your profile
- Higher education (Bachelor, Master, University) in industrial engineering, production engineering or a related field
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
- At least five years of experience in manufacturing, digital transformation or IT/OT projects
- In-depth knowledge of Industry 4.0/Smart Factory concepts (IoT, MES, SCADA, PLC integration, cloud platforms,
AI/analytics)
- Experience with digital manufacturing solutions (e.g. Infor MES, Advaris, SAP Digital Manufacturing)
- Agile certifications (e.g. SAFe, PO/PM) are an advantage
- Very good communication skills in German and English
- Strategic thinking, consulting skills, analytical skills
- High level of commitment, ability to work under pressure and used to work independently
