(Senior) Accountant (m/f/d) for a fixed term of 12 months
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What awaits you:
- Coordinate month end close and consolidation activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and high quality US GAAP
financial reporting across a portfolio of 12 reporting entities
- Serve as the European subject matter expert for OneStream, enabling robust consolidation, account reconciliation
excellence, and system enhancements including automation initiatives.
- Provide advanced technical accounting expertise, including contract assessments, application of complex accounting
guidance, and embedded derivative evaluations.
- Review Novelis AG’s financial statements (US GAAP & Swiss GAAP), including SOX and policy compliance
- Manage quarterly reviews and year end audits with external auditors, delivering high quality submissions and driving
timely resolution of issues.
- Act as Controller for Novelis AG (European HQ), directing cost analysis, financial planning, and forecasting to
support strategic and operational decision making.
- Propose process improvements and automate existing processes
How you convince us:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; advanced professional qualifications are an asset
- Extensive experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably within shared service or outsourced delivery environments.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP, OneStream, and MS Office, with the ability to leverage digital tools to improve reporting
and process effectiveness.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and Swiss GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS is advantageous.
- Verbal and written fluency required in English – knowledge of German is a plus
- Communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of people (multinational and all levels of the
organization)
