    Your Tasks
    Act as the nominated and delegated Chief Engineer for the Trainer Aircraft, providing clear, pragmatic technical
    direction and resolution of complex engineering issues across all disciplines
    Perform review and approval of design data including Engineering Reports, design documentation, analyses, and
    safety-critical publications, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and certification requirements (e.g. EASA/FAA)
    Chair and technically govern design reviews on behalf of the IPT Leader, ensuring technical robustness, traceability
    of requirements, within budget/schedule and appropriate resolution of actions
    Manage the Continued Airworthiness Process (CAP), maintaining visibility of all open airworthiness issues and
    reporting status, risk, and progamatic mitigation plans to the Airworthiness Review Board (ARB)
    Act as the technical representative of the Design Organisation in customer airworthiness activities, certification
    discussions, and external design reviews with customers and authorities
    Work with the other IPT Chief Engineers to define, improve, and communicate engineering standards, design principles,
    and lessons learned, including authorship of the Chief Engineer's Newsletter for the wider Engineering Department to
    promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

    Extensive broad aerospace engineering experience, with a minimum of 10 years in engineering management or equivalent
    roles, demonstrating successful delivery within complex, fast-paced and highly regulated environments
    Demonstrated capability to provide technical vision and strategic direction, driving continuous improvement of
    products, processes, and engineering standards across the organization
    Proven ability to take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to resolving complex, cross-disciplinary engineering
    and airworthiness issues
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical topics, constructively
    address issues and foster effective inter-disciplinary collaboration across engineering teams
    Proven capability to coordinate and align cross-functional expert teams through lateral leadership, enabling timely
    resolution of critical engineering challenges and agreement on pragmatic system-level solutions
    High level of personal competence and accountability, showing commitment, sound judgement, effective prioritisation
    and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing technical, programme or regulatory requirements
