Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility Rail Division has an immediate opening for an Electrical Architect position at their Sacramento,
California Facility. The candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of the Electrical Design of his/her
assigned Light Rail project(s) and will work among others on integrating complex designs involving high voltage
applications, safety systems & modern communication and video surveillance systems. We are looking for professionals
with the drive to work in the high paced rail industry to build new and innovative designs for our future vehicles.
In this role as a member of the Electrical Architecture group you will guide the development of electrical schematics
and harnessing by interpreting requirements from the customer contract or industry standards into concepts for the
designers and design review documentation for the customers. This may apply to a variety of vehicle designs and
requires good understanding of electrical fundamentals and creativity to come up with entirely new solutions. Must be
detail oriented and take ownership of projects to see them through the production and testing phase.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Lead and present solutions for electrical integration of Light Rail projects, ensuring alignment with schedules and
industry standards. • Represent the Electrical Integration group in customer meetings and coordination calls. •
Collaborate with mechanical architects, technical managers, and system architects to define vehicle designs for
projects. • Guide the development and review of electrical circuit diagrams and supplier documentation. • Select
electrical components using vendor catalogs, perform calculations, and specify parameters as needed. • Plan, schedule,
and track design work packages, providing updates to management on progress. • Drive continuous improvement of Light
Rail platforms in coordination with platform managers and stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with safety, EMI, and
component sizing requirements, work mainly on-site with some remote flexibility.
To thrive in this role, you have:
• Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years’ relevant experience, or associate degree with 8+ years. •
Proficient in circuit design/evaluation using CAD tools. • Skilled in circuit testing and troubleshooting. • Experience
in electro-mechanical integration. • Track record of working on large-scale, cross-departmental projects. • Familiarity
with SAP as an ERP or PLM system and Engineering release/change processes. • Background in manufacturing environments
and production interface. • Knowledge of voltage class separation, wire/cable protection, grounding, EMI, and circuit
protection. • Strong communication skills with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. • Rolling Stock industry
experience is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in California is $130,000.00- $160,00.00. The salary may be higher or lower
depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher
depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
