insight into the development of intelligent optical measurement methods for industry and work on practical questions
relating to spectroscopy, optical simulation and industrial sensor systems as an
Intern Research & Development – Optical Sensing 40% (f/m/d)
Your background
- Advanced Bachelor’s degree studies or ongoing Master’s degree studies in physics, electrical engineering, photonics,
optical engineering, materials science or a comparable technical or scientific field
- Interest in optics, photonics, sensor technology, spectroscopy and optical measurement methods
- Enjoyment of experimental laboratory work as well as simulations and technical analyses
- Good foundations in physics, mathematics and technology, combined with a structured and curious way of working
- Ideally, initial experience with Zemax OpticStudio®, MATLAB or Python
- Good command of German and/or English
Your tasks
- Contributing to research and development projects in the field of optical sensing and industrial measurement
technology
- Supporting work on spectroscopy, imaging and measurement systems
- Supporting optical simulations and system analyses using Zemax OpticStudio®
- Assisting with the setup, execution, documentation and evaluation of laboratory experiments
- Helping to build, test and characterize prototypes and sensor systems
- Data analysis, signal processing and visualization of measurement results, particularly using Python
- Technical research into new technologies, applications and approaches for future sensor systems – supported by
experienced specialists
