Junior Technical Consultant – Product specialist – Medium Voltage Drives (80-100%)

of ABB Motion System Drives are mostly used to control and optimize customer processes while saving energy when
controlling a large electric motor. Typically our products are installed in the heavy industry such as Metals, Marine,
Mining, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Renewables... Our Advanced Customer Support team is the backbone of the global service
network to ensure a fast and efficient issue resolution of our customers mission critical machinery. If you are a
collaborative, open minded and enthusiastic engineer we want you to join our team and shift technical and mental
boundaries / limits together with us.
Your responsibilities
- As the Product Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experience for our variable
speed drives.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in servicing our products during commissioning and
troubleshooting offsite and onsite
- Provide technical guidance and lead for the resolution of complex issues happening during the
installation/commissioning of the drives (commissioning) and also during their entire life time
- Presence on customer sites to commission and troubleshoot medium voltage drives in heavy industries
- Provide technical training to ABB's global service network
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 expert support
Your background
- Open minded personality with the flexibility needed to travel globally up to 50%
- Technical education (MSc/BSC or equivalent degree in engineering)
- Graduates and young professionals welcome
- Ability to apply structured and methodic work style
- Motivated to learn and drive innovation and product improvement
- Ability to act solution oriented and variate different approaches flexible and creative
- Good command in English, additional languages are an advantage
