Take your next career step at ABB with a global team that is energizing the transformation of society and industry to

all dimensions: gender, LGBTQ+, abilities, ethnicity and generations. Together, we are embarking on a journey where
each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.

Are you eager to elevate your dedication to drive systems for rail vehicles to the next level? Whether your passion
lies in tackling complex retrofit projects and developing platform products, or if you're drawn to extraordinary
challenges, such as engineering drive systems for massive mining vehicles – your journey starts here! If you have
expertise and enthusiasm for power electronics, a world of diverse opportunities awaits you. Expect an exhilarating
journey of collaboration across various teams, working in tandem with our R&D, engineering centers, production
branches, and project management units across the globe. Your valuable insights and expertise are encouraged to shine,
whether you're contributing from your previous experiences or expanding your horizons with us in a specialized or
    product expert capacity.

    Your responsibilities

    - Contribute to the engineering of drive systems, energy storage systems, and auxiliary systems while ensuring
seamless integration into the vehicle, in accordance with customer-specific requirements, relevant standards, and
    internal specifications
    - Specify, execute, document, and assess type and qualification tests
    - Collaborate with suppliers to specify components and define technical requirements
    - Play an integral role in shaping product families by driving standardization, improvements, and maintenance efforts
    - Progress towards becoming a specialist in core components of our products, offering support to colleagues, and
independently optimizing our design processes and customer solutions, whether working solo or within specialist teams

    Your background

    - A qualified Electrical Engineer, even with minimal or no prior professional experience in power electronics
    - A dedicated learner and knowledge-sharing enthusiast who actively supports colleagues in their development
    - A team player who thrives on solving complex challenges
    - Proficiency in both spoken and written English with the ability to communicate effectively. Proficiency in German is
    a plus
    - Willingness to travel on an occasional basis

    Benefits

    - Canteen
    - Flexible work practices
    - Gym membership
