    This position reports to

    R&D Team Lead

    Your responsibilities

    - Simulate and optimize power electronic topologies and converters to make them suitable for a variety of power
    electronic applications
    - Analyze and evaluate converter solutions from component level up to converter/module level as well as the impact on
    the system level. Identify benefits and drawbacks
    - Design, implement and test converter prototypes in the lab
    - Come up with new innovative power electronic concepts
    - Initiate, lead and participate in power electronic converter design projects with full commitment
    - Interact and actively communicate with our business line partners

    Your background

    - PhD in power electronics with good scientific publication record
    - Experience in medium voltage power electronics design, incl. good understanding of passive design such as magnetics
    and capacitor banks
    - Hands-on laboratory skills, a willingness to work independently and take initiative in designing, building and
    testing converter prototypes
    - Experience is both three-phase ac and dc systems will be an advantage
    - Experience in motors and drives will be an advantage as well
    - Understanding and/or experience in system level analysis, EMC and control will be a welcomed plus
    - Fluency in English, both spoken and written
