    To strengthen our Engineering team, we are looking for a Software Engineer with great experience in PLC programming
    and fieldbus communication. You will program software for emergency power supplies, network control systems for
    low-voltage switchgears and mini-SCADAs and commission them at the customer's site in Switzerland. In the
    Electrification - Distribution Solutions Division you will apply your technical skills in different phases of customer
    projects and ensure that commissioning activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with
    specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

    Your responsibilities

    - Creating, editing and commissioning PLC programs of higher complexity in the programming languages "ST" and "Fupla"
    on the platforms of ABB AC500 (Automation Builder/Codesys), B&R X20 (Automation Studio) and ComAp (GenConfig).
    - Creating, editing and commissioning HMI visualizations based on ABB Zenon.
    - Integration of third-party devices via fieldbuses (Modbus/TCP, OPC UA).
    - Creation of plant and customer documentation.
    - You will help our customers as second-level support to solve technical problems both remotely and at customer sites
    in Switzerland.
    - You will support project management, in technical reviews, discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and
    suppliers.
    - You make effort estimates and feasibility recommendations for future projects to our sales unit.
    - The frequency of business travel is strongly dependent on the project phase you are in. Calculated over the whole
    year, you will travel about 50% within Switzerland.

    Your background

    - A basic technical education and further degree in System Engineering or a similar field.
    - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in automation related activities as a software engineer and commissioning
    engineer for power systems or automation systems.
    - In-depth programming knowledge of extensive PLC applications and hands-on experience using various fieldbus
    protocols.
    - Specific knowledge of ABB AC500 and Zenon, B&R X20, ComAp, and related engineering tools are desired.
    - Strong focus on safe work practices and commitment to compliance with all relevant workplace safety policies.
    - Very high self-motivation and interest in learning new technologies.
    - Team player with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
    - Good command of written and spoken German and English. French is an advantage.
